i mentioned in my last blog post how much i loved lungshan temple and the lotus pond we discovered afterwards. interestingly, i found both deeply peaceful and meaningful, but in very different ways. lungshan was busy, bright and bustling with activity – and full of brilliant colors and artful inspiration. it’s a place where people go to make a deep connection with the divine. the lotus pond at the botanical garden was quiet, tranquil and very still – and the flowers burst with color and natural inspiration everywhere you turned. i imagine it’s also a place where people go to make a deep connection with the divine. take your pick. if you visit taipei, visit these 2 places – it’s worth it.
by the way, the images of the waterfall and koi pond are part of the temple grounds – part of what make it so spectacular.
