it can be hard to buy art for other people, but not impossible. in the past, as i’ve discovered artists i thought family members might like, i’ve sent them links to their site asking in general what they thought. after taking note of what they said, it gave me enough to go on to buy well-informed but surprise gifts of art for loved ones. here are a few gift ideas that i love – perhaps there’s someone on your list who would love them too. and the nice thing? if it’s last minute, you can always print a small copy to give them now and then have the full size shipped directly to them after all the celebrating is over.

for the country-scene or nature lover…
this 2010 calendar is made of gorgeous images from pamela viola’s “one less traveled” exhibit and come packaged in a protective jewel box which doubles as an easel to conveniently display each month. perfectly priced to have a few on hand as last minute gifts.
these prints are just gorgeous – I prefer the larger sizes, matted and framed.
