junk

cathedral of junk

on my last day in austin we took a little detour to the south side. after a great breakfast, movie, cupcake and local views, our friend took us to see the most important piece of art and architecture in austin. it’s difficult to describe in words, but the cathedral of junk is not the pile of crap you think you see when you first walk towards it. as you walk under the blue bottle covered pergola, you realize what it really is. your childhood dream come true. it’s thoughtfully designed, romantic and nostalgic. even the pictures don’t do it justice.

  2. Wow, that was a lot of junk! But one person’s junk is another person’s treasure. 😉
